The Principle Tools of Fighting

The hands are the natural weapons of the body

It pretty much goes without saying, the principle tools of fighting are the hands and arms. What's more, we can vertically divide the arm into inside and outside based on their lines of control and interception.

Your Outside Line (Yin)
Your outside line deals with interception of the opponent's attack on the outside of your arm. It is considered yin as it is the most yielding line of interception. Intercepting along your outside line is vulnerable to attack as your elbow is exposed.

Your Inside Line (Yang)Your inside line deals with contact of the inside of the arm. Intercepting along your inside line is the most controlling line of interception therefore it is considered the yang line.
