Gratitude: Alan Vasquez

"Often, I've found, I have to forgive in order to be thankful. In this spirit, I wish to make a note about a person that I have much gratitude towards, Alan Vasquez. Although our interpretation of Wing Chun differs and our relationship has taken a most unfortunate turn the last few years, I will forever be grateful for the time we had together. I see him for the person he was. His public smear campaign against me is not what I wish to focus upon. I fully forgive him for all the things he has done and said towards/about me these past few years. I do believe he initially means well and I don't believe he intends to do harm. I can say good things about him. He is very passionate, devoted to his cause and wears his emotions on his sleeve. Sometimes this passion is taken too far and can turn to resentment if you disagree with him, but he also has a lot of kindness and appreciation to share for those he sees as loyal to him. I would like to thank him for all the kindness he had for me while we were associated with one another. His kind words and actions will never be forgotten. If it weren't for my experience with Alan, I wouldn't be the person I am today."
